Interrogative & Demonstrative Pronouns Who refers to people and is often the subject of a question. Who visited New York? Whom also refers to people and is usually the object of a verb or preposition. Whom did you visit there? With whom did you go?

Interrogative & Demonstrative Pronouns Whose asks about possession. Whose is that coat? Which asks about a group or class. Which of those cakes would you like? What is used for seeking information. What is the time, please?

Interrogative & Demonstrative Pronouns Demonstrative Pronouns point out a particular person, place, or thing: this, that, these, those This is a picture of that building. (near) That is your homework over there. (far) These are instructions for the project. (near) Those are some snacks left over from yesterday. (far)
