S6CS5 Students will use the ideas of system, model, change and scale in exploring scientific and technological matters. (6-8) S6CS6 Students will communicate scientific ideas and activities clearly. (6-8) S6E3 – Students will recognize the significant role of water in Earth Processes S6E5 – Students will investigate the scientific view of how the Earth’s surface is formed.

There will be four students in each group. Students may choose their own groups. Teachers will approve the groups and make any changes necessary. Students will remain with their groups during the entire trip, including on the busses. Group selection will take place in March.

Students will be assigned to a teacher chaperone. This will be their group for the entire trip, including seating on the busses and at the attractions. There will be one teacher chaperone per 10-12 students. Groups will be assigned either the May 2 or May 3 date, based on their chaperone. No student will be allowed to leave his/her assigned group. Students will be accompanied to each venue with their assigned teacher chaperone.

School appropriate clothing is to be worn during the entire trip, including on the busses. A t-shirt will be designed for the trip in a bright color. The t-shirt is an additional security measure to quickly identify our TRMS students. Information for purchasing the t-shirts will be sent home when it is available. Students are required to wear the designated 6 th grade t-shirt during the field trip. Students should wear comfortable shoes (no flip flops) while on the trip. Bring a jacket/sweatshirt as well as an umbrella or rain poncho.

Pricing Trip Price: $105 for Students Price Includes: EVERYTHING except Souvenirs and required t-shirt! Registration Deadline/Payment Due: February 10, 2016

Registration Payment will be collected on February 10 th at TRMS. A representative from Mulvihill Tours will be here to collect money on that day. Payments may be made by cash or checks made payable to Jim Mulvihill Tours. Please include your child’s full name on any payments that are made. Full payment of $105 is required to register. Fulton County field trip permission slips and medical forms will be sent home after the February 10 th deadline.

For students who are staying at TRMS on May 2 nd and 3 rd, it’s not just business as usual! There will be activities planned for the students to enjoy. The activities will be aligned to the same standards as the Chattanooga trip.
