3. Context & Background.  Irish Research Council for the Humanities & Social Sciences (IRCHSS).  New Ideas Scheme (November 2011) – Award granted in December 2011.  Built upon existing “Knowledge Exchange Programme” funded by the IRCHSS (Coughlan et al., 2010).

4. Key Principles.  Collaboration & Partnership.  All working towards a common purpose:  Community Integration/Deinstitutionalisation.  Inclusion.  Improving QoL & outcomes for persons with intellectual disability.  Importance of an “integrated approach” to this work.
