9 The function of CSM (1 ) SNM ( Switching Network Module ): mainly realize the voice switching. The active/standby MP of SNM are connected with NT Server through Ethernet.This connection is created for the communication between OMM and foreground modules. ( 2 ) MSM ( Message Switching Module ): mainly realize the message switching between modules. MPM are connected with SNM through FBI. The message from MPM will be sent to MSM through the semi-permanent connection between MSM and SNM. Then the MP of MSM will realize the message switching according to the route message 。 1.The structure of MSC/VLR System

10 The function of MPM MPM realizes the function of MSC/VLR : main function of MSC : (1)provide the interface of voice trunk and signaling link to BSS. (2)provide the interface to PSTN 、 PLMN etc. (3)support the message switching with VLR. (4)mobility management. 43 ZXC10-MSC/VLR has the echo elimination function integrated in the digital trunk board. It can cancel the echo in 2.048Mb/s PCM transmission network. 45 ASIG only exists in MPM (Not existing in CSM). An ASIG unit has only one single board, it is located at DT layer, and can share the position with DTI. Functions such as DTMF,MFC(CAS), Tones and conference call can be achieved by uploading different software. Analog signaling unit (ASIG)
