Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules: “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”? These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. (Colossians 2:20-23)

Why do we focus on the HOW of worship rather than the FUNCTION of worship?

Through God’s action we received spiritual fulfillment not with laws and rules to follow (to be judged against) but in and through Christ.

Human traditions and rules… impose a false spirituality on you judge you by telling you how you must worship God because they are not focused on Christ

True worship emphasizes the fullness you have in Christ, not human tradition.

Some people focus on rules and laws and passive Christianity. The New Testament Christians did not sit by passively but lived out the fullness of Christ within them.

True worship is based in action, not passivitation. (Acts 2:42-47)
