3 Two Truths and a Lie  For each of the following slides, two statements will be true and one will be false. Can you figure it out?

4 Two Truths and a Lie  Non-Hispanic whites constitute most of the voting age citizen population.  Women are more likely to vote.  Men are more likely to vote

5 Two Truths and a Lie  Single people are more likely to vote  Married people are more likely to vote.  Homeowners and longtime residents are more likely to vote.

6 Two Truths and a Lie  Most people vote in person instead of using absentee ballots.  Voting regulations are controlled by the states  Native citizens are less likely to register and vote than naturalized citizens.

7 Two Truths and a Lie  The peak age group for voting is usually 65 and above  People with less education, lower incomes and the unemployed are more likely to vote.  Higher income rates lead to higher voter turnout

8 Two Truths and a Lie  People in the East are most likely to register and vote  People in the Midwest are most likely to register and vote.  Voting rates are higher in states with same-day registration.
