We hold DIS 2005 during an interesting moment: New measurements emerging from HERA, TeVatron, SLAC, RHIC, Jefferson Lab and COMPASS New theoretical advances in QCD. New linkages between measurements made in nuclear and particle physics. About 2 years before the conclusion of the HERA - II program Important to assess the present experiment and theory Important to examine options for future experiments using the best information from experiment & theory We hope that Madison will be a conducive place for such deliberations Thank you for coming!
