INFINITE CAMPUS EVALS & REEVALS WHAT TO EXPECT FOR SLPS
2
UPDATES TO SUMMER 2015 TRAINING INITIAL EVALUATION, REEVALS, IEPS
3
KDE DATA STANDARDS SLPS IMPACTS ARE LISTED ON PAGES 1,2,3,4,5,9,10,20,21,25,28,29,33,43

OVERALL STRATEGY TO REMEMBER…. WHEN YOU ARE WRITING AN IEP OR WORKING WITHIN THE KY EVALUATION, PREVIOUS TRAININGS HAVE ENCOURAGED THE USE OF “SAVE AND CONTINUE”. WE ARE NOW RECOMMENDING ONLY USING SAVE THIS ALLOWS YOU TO NAVIGATE TO EDITORS THAT ARE RELEVANT FOR YOUR MEETING. DO NOT CLICK ON EDITORS THAT YOU DO NOT NEED—IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PUT IN INFORMATION
5
Referral, Determination of Eligibility Forms, Reevaluation Report All of “Our” forms
6
For an initial or a reevaluation this is what your counselor will choose.
7
ARC Chairs are being trained to mark “NA” on items not relevant to the meeting you are in if the editor is unable to lock the document.
8
At this point there will be no reason to use “OTHER” for SLPs
9
Think about this as the back of the old referral form. Remember: Tier 1Whole Class Teaching Tier 2Smaller group Tier 3Interventions you give the teacher All of this will be a discussion led by the ARC Chair that you will need to be a part of. NEW Tier 1Whole Class Teaching-examples of data could include universal screenings, district screenings, running records, work samples, benchmark assessments, progress monitoring, etc Tier 2Speech Language Screening—data would be the score or interpretation Tier 3Interventions you give the teacher UPDATED REFERRAL INFORMATION
10
Will use for each intervention This screen will pop up for each intervention, at each level. All 3 levels need to be filled in NEW—ability to leave end date blank as it may be appropriate for interventions to continue during evaluation period
11
FYI IF A STUDENT PASSES THE SPEECH LANGUAGE SCREENING, TEACHERS HAVE THEIR TIER 2 DATA AND WILL NEED TO FIGURE OUT NEXT STEPS WITHOUT YOU. IF A STUDENT FAILS YOU WILL PROVIDE THE TEACHER OR ANOTHER QUALIFIED PERSON TO PROVIDE THE INTERVENTION(S) TO THE STUDENT. YOU DO NOT PROVIDE THE TIER 3 INTERVENTIONS TO ANY STUDENTS AS IF YOU DID THIS IT WOULD BE PROVIDING SPECIAL EDUCATION TO A STUDENT THAT IS NOT IDENTIFIED AS SPECIAL EDUCATION. THE LANGUAGE STATES, “PROVIDED BY A CERTIFIED OR QUALIFIED STAFF” WHICH MEANS YOU WILL TRAIN THE PERSON WHO WILL BE PROVIDING THE INTERVENTIONS. IT WOULD BE A VIOLATION OF YOUR CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTLY PROVIDE THE INTERVENTIONS.
12
1.New area of concern 2.Drop down box of choices 3.Place to list “specialized equipment used by student”
13
If you have a 2 nd area of concern, repeat the process This is just like the old referral check boxes on the front page
18
Do NOT use DO use FYI…the review of INITIAL evaluation meeting info For Speech INITIAL meetings—we have found that in order to lock the KY Evaluation when the eligibility meeting is finished there needs to be information in the Multi Disciplinary Report. So.. FOR SPEECH INITIALS, please open the Multi Disciplinary Report, drop down to communication and type, “See CWR dated xx/xx/xx”. For Speech INITIAL do NOT use the Evaluator Assessment Report.
20
1. Choose “New Evaluator Assessment” 2.Select Communication Status under “Documentation” 3.Select “Other Specifiy” for “Communication Status” 4.Type “See CWR dated xx/xx/xx” 5.For Summary, type “See CWR dated xx/xx/xx” 6.Answer question re: additional assessments 7.Get your CWR+ forms the “old way” under simple forms NEW You will use the Evaluator Assessment only for Reevals
21
This is where you now find your Determination of Eligibility form
22
FYI There is no longer a date on the Determination of Eligibility. When it prints out the date on the top of the form will be the meeting date from the “referral meeting” not the actual date of Determination of Eligibility. The editor on the next page will have the eligibility information with the date.
23
SAMPLE: 09/08/2015 was the date of the referral meeting. The meeting to review the evaluation and Determine Eligibility was actually 9/28/15.
24
THE NEXT PAGE HAS THE ELIGIBILITY INFO WITH CORRECT DATE
25
FYI…..Planning Reevaluation info
26
Once you fill out the previous page you are taken directly to the planning form. Same process as last year.
27
When you are ready for the results meeting SpO Example Sp+ Example-if an “on time” reeval. If an early Sp+ reeval use SpO example. If not you won’t get your correct drop down options Counselor will fill in the correct information whatever their disability is—this doesn’t impact your ability to reeval early-this is just documenting their current disability.
28
The next 2 forms replace the ReCes and the RAR Think of this section as the old RAR. If you have a test or subtest score, record here. If you do NOT have a test or a subtest score, record progress data NEW--Your CHOICE for a TYPE A ReEval you can write “na” on this form OR you can document progress data.
29
Part 2 of the Reevaluation Report: Think of this as the old ReCes form. This where you write your summary (narrative) These are INFORMAL DO NOT have to check behavior obs on planning form for reevals
30
Re determine eligibility— same as always
31
REMEMBER WHEN YOU USE THE KY EVALUATION TO PLAN A REEVAL THIS SCHOOL YEAR FOR A REEVAL THAT IS NOT DUE UNTIL 16-17 SCHOOL YEAR, IN ORDER TO FILL OUT YOUR CURRENT REEVALUATION, YOU WILL NEED TO GO BACK TO THE PRIOR SCHOOL YEAR TO FIND THE KY EVALUATION FOR YOUR FORMS AND DETERMINATION OF ELIGIBILITY.
32
IEP UPDATES PLEASE USE “SAVE” VS. “SAVE AND CONTINUE” AS WELL. THIS IS PARTICULARLY HELPFUL WHEN A STUDENT DOES NOT HAVE ACCOMMODATIONS FOR TESTING. IF YOU CHOOSE “NO ACCOMMODATIONS NECESSARY” AND CLICK “SAVE AND CONTINUE” YOU WILL THEN BE REQUIRED TO PUT INFORMATION INTO ALL THE ACCOMMODATION SECTIONS PRIOR TO BEING ABLE TO LOCK THE DOCUMENT. IF YOU CLICK “SAVE” YOU CAN MANUALLY MOVE TO “PROGRAM MODIFICATIONS AND SUPPORTS” AND WILL NOT HAVE TO FILL IN INFORMATION FOR ANY ACCOMMODATIONS AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO LOCK THE IEP.
