2 Technology Services Division The mission of TSD is to provide the computing infrastructure necessary to support the California Department of Child Support Services and the statewide child support program. The mission of TSD is to provide the computing infrastructure necessary to support the California Department of Child Support Services and the statewide child support program.

3 Technology Services Division (continued) Technology Services Division (TSD) is responsible for providing Information Technology (IT) services and products in support of the Department of Child Support Services (DCSS). TSD is responsible for providing the automated systems that support DCSS administered programs and statewide child support enforcement applications that produce millions of dollars in child payments to families annually. TSD is also responsible for providing program and technical support for the single statewide system.

4 Technology Services Division (continued) TSD is responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all the department’s policies, procedures, standards and practices regarding the use of technology. This includes meeting state and federal control agency requirements for data security and protection, disaster recovery, IT funding and automation approvals, and overall management of the department’s IT assets. 6 Administrative Unit The TSD Administrative Unit is responsible for providing clerical support to the entire Division, including direct support to the Deputy and Assistant Deputy Directors. 7 CCSAS Systems Support Branch (CSSB) CSSB is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing operational activities necessary to support DCSS and CCSAS production operations. CSSB is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing operational activities necessary to support DCSS and CCSAS production operations. CSSB is comprised of four Sections: CSSB is comprised of four Sections:  CCSAS Interfaces Management (CIMS)  CCSAS Operational Interfaces  CCSAS Operations Support  SharePoint and Web Administration

8 CCSAS Systems Support Branch (CSSB) (continued) CCSAS Interfaces Management Section (CIMS) is responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of numerous critical interfaces between the CCSAS and the program’s interface partners while meeting critical project deadlines.

10 CCSAS Systems Support Branch (CSSB) (continued) CCSAS Systems Operations Section (CSOS) is responsible for policies, processes and procedures to support the implementation and production operations activities. CSOS is comprised of Units: CSOS is comprised of Units:  Production Problem Resolution  CCSAS Production Operations

11 CCSAS Systems Support Branch (CSSB) (continued)  The Production Problem Resolution Unit handles production CCSAS business and technical problems. A few of the primary responsibilities include tracking, analysis, monitoring, and resolution of CCSAS production problems. Two primary areas of responsibilities include:  Incident Management  Problem Management

The major workloads include:  Software Release Management  Configuration Management

15 Application Development & Maintenance (ADAM) Branch The Branch is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining automated tools and databases with special emphasis placed on federal and State reporting systems, together with DCSS office automation systems.

17 Application Development & Maintenance (ADAM) Branch (continued) Fund Reconciliation System (FRS) Fund Reconciliation System (FRS)  FRS supports the DCSS Accounting Section by developing automated tools to gather data and provide management reports concerning the multiple reconciliations required.
