DO NOW Think about 5 significant events that have happened in your life. These should be any 5 events that you feel have made you who you are today. Create a list with these 5 events and write a brief description of each. Journal 9

Quick Review Biographies analyze and interpret the events in a person's life. They find connections, explain the meaning of unexpected actions or mysteries, and make arguments about the significance of the person's accomplishments or life activities.

Brainstorming Let’s brainstorm a list of possible questions to ask each other…

Questions to Consider When Writing Was there something in your subject’s childhood that shaped his/her personality? Was there a personality trait that drove him/her to succeed or impeded his progress? What adjectives would you use to describe him/her? What were some turning points in this life?

Write it! Once you’ve asked all of your questions, begin to write a rough draft of your biography. The biography will need to be at least 5 paragraphs. A final draft will be due on Thursday for 100 POINTS! Typed drafts will receive extra credit.
