Chief Hiring additional staff Dept’s requesting new Guards recommend 2.5 salaries for each person needed $15,000 salary---$37,500 per employee 1.5 salaries to hire employees to cover their vacations and sick leave Approval to authorize overtime-budget for overtime to pay to fill vacancies ***separate budget for each shift

Short term-Now! Present to Employees/Supervisor Switching days off 2 extra’s on weekend/2 short on Thur/Fri switch days off to Sat/Sun to fill Thur/Fri Rotation system to fill unexpected vacancies

Goal More efficient use of the staff on the day shift by creating a larger pool to fill shift vacancies. I will use the surveys from the staff and other supervisors to make changes as needed.
