Foundation High School Plan Every student will graduate with an endorsement and at the distinguished level.

Requirements (26 credits) English = 4 credits Math = 4 credits Science = 4 credits Social Studies = 3 credits Languages other than English= 2 credits Physical Education = 1 credit Fine Arts = 1 credit Local Requirements = 1.5 credits BIM (1 credit) Professional Communication (.5 credit) Electives = 5.5 credits

Endorsements Students must declare an endorsement before the start of 9 th grade. Continue to update the 4-Year Plan every year, along with Course Selections. Students can change their endorsement at any time with counselor approval. Students can receive multiple endorsements.

Important Dates Counselor Meetings at MS: March 1 st – FMS and TVMS March 2 nd – HMS Online Course Request Registration in Skyward: March 3 rd - HMS March 7 th - FMS March 8 th - TVMS Counselors will be on campus (in computer labs) these dates to assist in entering course requests into Skyward.

Online Course Selections Log in to your Skyward account through student access or parent access. View/Change the 8 credits your child chose. View/Change the 2 alternate classes in case there are scheduling conflicts. Students will receive Choice Sheets during presentation to help in selecting courses online. Students will be provided with step by step instructions on how to complete the online course requests.

Declaring Endorsement Students will pick endorsement through “Student Access” and complete electronic signature. THEN through “Parent Access,” parents can electronically sign the endorsement chosen by the student. Students will receive instructions on how to do this. State mandate requires parent signature.

Important Information One week at the beginning of each semester to change schedule. One opportunity during that week to change schedule. To request a GT course, students must be identified as GT or in PSAT classes. It’s best to have accurate courses requested before August registration.
