2.  Milton Hershey was born on a farm close to Hershey Pennsylvania.  His first three business attempts in Philadelphia, New York, and Chicago failed.

3.  After traveling to foreign countries, Hershey discovered caramel and had a huge success, but in the year 1893 decided to make chocolate instead.

4.  In 1905 Hershey started making milk chocolate in his new factory. His chocolate was soon considered the best chocolate in America.

5.  In 1909 Milton Hershey built a school in the town of Hershey Pennsylvania. He named it the Milton Hershey School, and it is still a school today, about 101 years later.

6.  Hershey Park started as a recreation area for Hershey’s employees. Now it is a large amusement park.
