Chamber Status The Chamber was incorporated in 1977 General Meetings are held the 4 th Wednesday of every month in the Ptarmigan Inn Hotel, please let us know if you’d like to join us We currently have 112 members

Regional and Local Economic Update Avalon Rare Metals at Thor Lake Feasibility study completion by end of 2012 and anticipated construction start in mid-2013 Tamerlane Ventures Has received a 4 year and 7 month water license for their Pine Point project

Regional and Local Economic Update cont. New Construction Planned for 2012 Proposals are being considered for the design and construction of a new Health Centre in Hay River Wood Pellet Manufacturing Plant Headed by Director Brad Mapes, proposed location in Enterprise

Challenges, Accomplishments and Issues Gala Awards Dinner Massive success with extremely positive reviews from all attending, set a new bar for the event! Business, Home & Leisure Show Planning and booking for 2012 has begun Chamber Coin 2 nd edition is out and well recieved, with thanks to Buffalo Airways

Revision of By-Laws Updated to reflect the Chamber’s goals and objectives Winter Road Coupon Program Booklets went out to Sahtu region and Winter Road communities, businesses are seeing coupons being used in store Chamber Street Banner Received Town approval to begin placement of new LED Chamber banner

Objectives for 2012/13 Shop Local Program Emphasizing the many local services and shopping opportunities for the community Welcome Program Encouraging new businesses to take advantage of the benefits of being a Chamber member Working with Town Council New monthly meetings are being scheduled with the Town to ensure awareness and co-operation
