2 Green Screen Process Candidate reads the platform & completes the online survey SC & membership review survey & continue screening with interview, as appropriate Party may invite the candidate to speak or receive an endorsement, as appropriate

4 Occupying the Ballot vs. Active Candidacy Even if GPTX candidates do not intend to run an active campaign, they are still expected to respond to media & party inquiries so that GPTX can maintain credible electoral offerings.

6 Candidate Guide Info Should Include Campaign minimums: – Campaign Manager – Treasurer Filing & Reporting Requirements: – Position requirements (Secretary of State or County Clerk) – Initial filing info – Deadlines – Campaign finance filing needs Forum & Outreach Opportunities (w/contact info if possible): – League of Women Voters

7 Party Support Mechanisms Candidate liaison to handle coordination of resources – Media & membership lists – Requests for volunteers – Possible graphic design help

8 Party Support Mechanisms Workshop to provide Media Kit: – Help draft bio/candidate info – Headshot – Webpage – Stump video
