2. Using Student Groups Click on Edit Course & then on Groups. Click on New Category. Complete Category Info:

3. Complete Advanced Properties & Additional Options: Click Create.

4. Complete the associated Dropbox file info and add a New Grade item. Click SAVE.

5. Click Done. Now if you check your Dropbox & Grades area, you’ll see the project group listed. When the group submits this assignment, one of them uploads it to the project group area of the Dropbox and you can grade it for all of the group members from there.

6. P.S. NOTE 1: If you decide to cancel a group that has a Dropbox assignment & Grade associated with it, be sure to (1) delete it from the Dropbox first, then (2) delete it from Manage Grades, and then (3) go to Edit Course/Groups and delete the group. This order of deletion will insure that you’ll be able to remove it from Grades. Note 2: If you’re going to be using groups all semester, don’t forget that you can add it to your Course NavBar for quicker access (see Module 2).

Moving Sandbox course to new D2L shell/site when semester begins Moving one semester’s course to the next semester’s course How do I do it? Open the new shell/site. (If an “Apply Branding” button appears, click on that and then Refresh.) Now click on Edit Course. Click on Import/Export/Copy Components.

8. Judy Click on radial button for Copy Components Click on Next

9. Judy Scroll down to Search for Offering link and click. A screen will appear with your courses. Click radial button next to the course whose content you want to copy to your new course. Then click Add Selected.

10. Judy Click on Select All Components at top. (Or select individual components you want.) Click Next.

11. Judy A Confirm page appears. Double check what you want copied. Click Next. When components finish copying, click Done.
