2 Do’s Do sync all devices to one computer Do name all the device. › I downloaded number cards from Tony Vincent’s site and added them as the wallpaper. I also used a label maker to attach labels to the cart and iPods. Do create an iTunes account for school specifically. Do create a student usage contract (I used the one from Tony Vincent’s Learning in Hand site.) Do consider setting up a class email account for the iPads. It is the best way to get information from the iPad. Password protect your iPad

3 Don’ts Don’t give out your iTunes password to students. Don’t sync iPods/iPads with other computers. Don’t sync everyday – it really isn’t necessary and can be time consuming. I usually do once or twice a month. Don’t mistreat the batteries – try to plug them in when you get the 20% battery message only. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. We have a ton of expertise in the district.

5 Quick Tips Keyboard Shortcuts; Keyboard Shortcuts › split keyboard with finger swipe. Also emoji keyboard can be added by the languages in general settings. Press home twice and you can swipe through apps and controls. › These are your running apps. You can close them by holding down and then selecting the red - to close (but not delete) the app. Setting – General settings › Lock screen orientation/mute for side toggle, multitasking (four fingers to scroll between apps and 5 finger pinch to go to home screen. 6 More Quick Tips Safari: Add favorites to home screen by holding the arrow key on the top and select add to home screen. › I use Cloud Browser app so that you can view quick time/ java games from the internet. Selecting multiple photos to share or email. › Open an album, click the arrow at top, and use two fingers touching the screen to select many photos. Rearranging and grouping apps is easy. › hold and drag or hold and drop.
