3 INSTRUCTIONS: To begin, have the students circle the cereal that they think is the healthiest. Round one is based on sugar. Students should be reminded that each serving size is the same. Students will pick the winner between each of the four pairs that is lower in sugar content. Once the students have completed their picks, click on the mouse to show the sugar content and the winning cereals that will advance to round two. Round two is based on fiber. Students will select the cereal from each pair that has the highest fiber content. Once the students have completed their picks, click on the mouse to show the fiber content and the winning cereals that will advance to round three. Round three is based on calories. Although most of the cereals are low in calories (milk is not included in the nutritional information), once the serving sizes increase, the caloric content can become very high. Students will select the cereal that is lower in calories. Once the students have completed their picks, click on the mouse to show total calories and the winning cereal.
