Ayahs 172 – 176

O you who have believed, eat from the good things which We have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is [indeed] Him that you worship. Ayah 172

What is tayyibaat? 1. => Clean, wholesome, tasty, good to look at, good in taste, That which is not impure nor filthy. 2. => Secondly it is Halal -> why are we giving this meaning? Because when only Tayyibaat is mentioned, then it includes clean, wholesome, and also halal. Surah al Baqarah: 172 - 176 Lesson 23 2

Eating Disorders Eating healthy makes us feel good; know your eating habits before they become into eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, obesity)

He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. Ayah 173

The animal is slaughtered, but the blood does not flow out of its body. 4. Or an animal that is not slaughtered by a Muslim, or the People of the Book. Conditions of Ahilla The blood is flowed Allah’s name is mentioned Slaughtered by either a Muslim, or the People of the Book 1. The blood is flowed 2. Allah’s name is mentioned. 3. It has been slaughtered by either a Muslim, or the People of the Book. These conditions must be met in order for the animal to be considered Halal.

Indeed, they who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book and exchange it for a small price - those consume not into their bellies except the Fire. And Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. And they will have a painful punishment. Ayah 174

Those are the ones who have exchanged guidance for error and forgiveness for punishment. How patient they are in pursuit of the Fire! Ayah 175

That is [deserved by them] because Allah has sent down the Book in truth. And indeed, those who differ over the Book are in extreme dissension. Ayah 176
