Chiho Wang ATLAS TRT Istanbul Workshop Duke University May, 2001 7 Fuse & fuse box dimension Fuse length: 5.8mm u prototype assumes 5.08mm u Additional space available in each module type: type 1: 3.2 mm type 2: 6.9 mm type 3: 7.9 mm

Chiho Wang ATLAS TRT Istanbul Workshop Duke University May, 2001 8 Fuse & fuse box dimension Fuse height: 3.8 + leg space ~ 4mm u Prototype allows 3mm. u Increase ~ x 2 ~ 2-3mm for 2 layers of fuses

Chiho Wang ATLAS TRT Istanbul Workshop Duke University May, 2001 9 Summary Fuse box prototypes have been in use for ~ 1 year in various module production QA processes. u Each module requires at least a dozen times of fuse box connection before completion. Present design works and sees no obvious problem. Available fuse dimension requires minor change in fuse box dimensions but is within acceptable range. When fuse is available will proceed with fuse box prototype.
