1 What building materials are you using?

2 Romans 14:10-12 10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” 12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

3 1 Corinthians 4.5b …Who will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one's praise will come from God."

4 Rewards for Believers The Bema of Christ does not determine salvation.
That was determined by Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf (1 John 2:2) and our faith in Him (John 3:16). In Christ, all our sins are forgiven. The judgment seat of Christ is God rewarding us for our lives of service as believers.

5 At the Bema God gives rewards to the victors;
He does not whip the losers. What sums up of the pattern of your life? What really matters? Are you pleasing God? Your choices do affect what will happen at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

6 Warnings Sin and indifference in this life will rob us of our desire for serving the Lord. Sin and indifference result in a loss of power in our lives because sin grieves the Holy Spirit. Sin and indifference cause us to miss opportunities for service. These conditions will limit our ability to give Him as much glory as we might have given Him.

7 1 John 2:28 "And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming."

8 Some building materials to consider:
Am I obeying the Great Commission? Am I gaining victory over sin? Am I controlling my tongue? Do my conversations include spiritual matters? Do I use my talents and gifts unselfishly? Do I love God and my neighbor?

9 So what motivates you? Therefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be pleasing to him. 2 Cor. 5:9. “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.” Jas 1.12 Believers will receive crowns for many different things based on how faithfully they served Christ.

10 What rewards will you receive?
" Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Matthew 25:21.
