The Health and Awareness Club The Intro Meeting

To educate students about diseases and disorders while spreading their awareness throughout the community. Purpose:

Tackling health issues in school- nutrition, sleep issues, weight management, anxiety, drugs, etc.) Spreading awareness about special needs students Provide volunteering opportunities Fundraising, spreading awareness, and giving back to the community through various actions of service Helping students receive first aid certificates -and other club endeavors!(: Providing information about different medicine occupations (not everyone has to become a doctor!) Host a variety of medical workers (different occupations) to speak on certain topics for the club Club Outline:

New knowledge on health issues, followed by the application of the particular knowledge Leadership skills Collaboration skills Volunteering opportunities and hours Being able to design and lead your own projects Giving back to the community What will members gain?

3 main phases 1.Learn Students will be learning about a specific medical condition throughout the course of many modules 2.Brainstorm Students will think of projects and ideas revolving around the specific condition. Volunteering opportunities will be given 3.Apply Students will bring their ideas and projects to life, along with completing their volunteer hours. How our meetings will look like:
