Yalta Conference Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill met to discuss the war and other issues Poland Polish leaders fled to Britain during the war USSR pushed Germany out of Poland and wanted communist leaders to take over FDR and Churchill wanted Poland to have free elections to decide who would lead them Compromised Communists would keep the established government, but elections would be held as soon as possible
