5. HOW TO WRITE A SCRIPT 1.Create a title and center it at the top of the page in capitals 2.In italics, describe the setting, so the audience understands the scenery and where the commercial is taking place. 3.For the dialogue, do not forget to write the name of the person who is speaking in capitals followed by a colon. 4.In italics and in brackets, write the actions that the characters are performing.

6. How to Write a Script Example: TITLE A young boy named Tommy is walking down the street with his brand new school bag, As he walks down the street, Tommy bumps into his friend Jimmy. TOMMY: Hi Jimmy! How are you? Are you ready for the new school year? JIMMY: Hi Tommy! I’m doing well. I can’t believe summer is over. Wow! Nice school bag! Where did you get it? (Tommy takes off his school bag to show his friend) …..

7. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO HAND IN You will need to hand in three things: 1.Script 2.Storyboard 3.Document explaining what each member of the group did to contribute to this activity.

8. GROUP WORK You will have the rest of the class period to work on this activity. I will be circulating in the class to see each group’s progress. Raise your hand if you have any questions and I will come to see you. Reminder: NO SOCIAL MEDIA.

9. HOMEWORK Work on your newspaper assignment. They are due tomorrow.
