The Donkey’s Mouth WILL WE ONLY LISTEN IF THE DONKEY SPEAKS?
2
Points to examine Balaam’s Life: The call from Balak The donkey speaks The battle with the Prophetic

The call from Balak Who was Balaam? Balaam- (“Lord of the people”) he was the son of Beor, man of rank amongst Midianites (Dominant tribe, Nomad Arabians). He was know as a diviner (seer, soothsayer, magician, sorcerer) for baal-peor (principal male god). He was known to have the power to bless or curse people. The call- Numbers 22:1-6 The call made by Balak to Balaam was made strictly due to fear. Are you aware that the enemy is afraid of you? Are you aware that as you increase the enemy will form alliances to attempt to destroy you? Numbers 22:4, 2 Chronicles 20:1-4 Why was Balaam called? Numbers 22:6-20

The donkey speaks In our walk with God have we ever found our self hearing the same message over and over but we refused to accept it? Did it take something huge for us to finally listen? Did we walk out of time? Numbers 22:20-22 Did we beat the messenger? (Pastor, spouse, kids, boss, etc.?) Numbers 22:27 Did the messenger ever speak back to us? Was the messenger different now as compared to the past or are we just being hard hearted? Have they changed or have we? Numbers 22:28-30 The point of the messenger in our lives is to open our eyes not to hurts us (why do we tend to hurt them?), we have no idea how many times the messenger has saved us from ourselves!- Numbers 22:31-35 It took an animal to speak for Balaam to open his eyes, are we currently closing our eyes to something God has been trying to show us? We will never be blessed until we focus on the blessor! Aren't we tired of getting sprinkled with blessings? Don’t we want the overflow?

The battle with the Prophetic Confronting the flesh- “Don’t say what you want to say but say what He tells you to say!”- Numbers 22:36-38 Going to the side- this separation period from “Man” allows us to hear the voice of God clearer- Numbers 23:3-5 God will never use a prophetic utterance to curse His people- Numbers 23:7-8 Even if the enemy displace you or changes his position the outcome is the same!- Numbers 23:13 God’s promise to you is the same and will never change no matter who thinks differently!- Numbers 23:18-20 Your steadfastness in your walk will convert even your greatest enemy- Numbers 24:1-5 Most will not be happy when you do the right thing but that should never detour you- Numbers 24:10-14 When all is said and done the prophetic will always come to pass, our job is to allow ourselves to be used and walk where God instructs us. Lets not wait for a donkey to speak before we listen!
