What is AP Psychology? AP Psychology is an introductory-level college course that surveys all areas of psychology. You will take the AP Exam in May next year. Based on how well you do, you will earn a score from 1 to 5 with one being the lowest “ Passing ” = 3, 4, 5 This means that colleges are likely to give you credit for Psychology 101 or excuse you from having to take the course. Introductory Psychology is a requirement for nearly ALL majors. So … You can save yourself over $1000 by succeeding in this course!

The AP Exam 2 hours long 100 multiple-choice questions (66%) 2 free-response questions (33%) Scores = 1 through 5 3 or higher = “ passing ” Last year = 48% of my students earned a “ 3 ” or higher/73% earned a “ 2 ” or higher

AP Tips For Success We are a family. When we work together to succeed, it benefits us all. It may sound lame, but it ’ s true. Find a study partner or form a study group. Choose wisely and make studying for psych a regular date. Do your reading every night!!! Your blue sheet is your guide. If it ’ s printed there, you are responsible for the deadline. The end.

AP Tips For Success Don ’ t blow off note cards and reading questions. They are easy points and they WILL help you on the AP Exam. You will also hate yourself (and me) if you wait until the day before they are due to do them. Keep an orderly binder. It will help you study for the AP Exam. Come to tutoring. It ’ s your only opportunity for extra credit
