2 Some changes, some clarifications Room rate categories (and SMERFs) – new codes or just new reports? “Beverage” is alcoholic, all soft drinks are “Food” Ratios use Customers not Covers Revenue Manager/ F&B Sales now “Sales & Marketing” Complimentary expenses expanded Package allocation and breakage (profit/loss) Outsourced labour (hours) vs contract services (tasks) Software reclassified – new codes and new department (“IT”) Equipment hire now “Rent” (Non-Operating Expense) (leased photocopiers, vehicles, staff accommodation) “Owner expenses” eg. professional fees previously under A&G Utilities include energy audits Service charge… balance sheet or P&L?
