3 Legal Aid Connect Home Page

4 Navigation Area The top link bar takes you to the main areas of Legal Aid Connect. The left navigation area takes you to various sub- areas.

5 Quick Connect The Quick Connect area takes you to key resources. Eventually you will be able to personalize Quick Connect with the links you want.

6 Staff Announcements Announcements for all CLAS and NOLS staff now appear on the home page for Legal Aid Connect. Click the More button to see past announcements.

7 Staff Announcements Announcements replaces the Monday Morning Memo. All staff have been pre- subscribed to receive weekly e-mail updates.

8 Staff Announcements The View links at the top of the Announcements page allow you to sort them in various ways. This view groups them by category.

9 Staff Announcements Use the Submit link to send in an announcement for all staff. Use the Search box to look for past announcements.

10 Legal Aid Calendar The Legal Aid Calendar lists all internal and external events, such as clinics and staff meetings.

11 Legal Aid Calendar Make sure your events are listed on the calendar. Use the Submit link to send in new items.

12 Legal Aid Calendar The calendar has different views as well. Some show events on a calendar, some as a list. This view shows clinics color coded by county.

13 Legal Aid Calendar Like the announcements, you can search and subscribe to the Legal Aid Calendar.

14 Staff Directory The Staff Directory includes all CLAS and NOLS staff, including employees, volunteers and temp agency workers.

15 Staff Directory The directory also has various ways to view the staff. This view shows photos and bios for all of our staff.

16 Staff Directory You can also group the staff by various attributes, including office and unit. You can search the directory by name, title, etc.

17 Search Center The Search Center allows you to find documents and information anywhere on our internal network. This includes all network drives and Legal Aid Connect. It does not include Pika. Searches look at document titles, contents and author.

18 Search Center You can limit your search to specific areas of the network using the Where to Search box. You’ll only see results for items you have access to.

19 Search Center Best bets for common search items are listed first in the results. The search index is updated every night, so newly created documents become searchable the next day.

20 Administration Tab The Administration tab includes links to various personnel and finance forms from the M: drive. This is still in its beginning stages. The plan is to move all M: drive items onto Legal Aid Connect by 2010.

21 Service Delivery Tab This tab includes client and service delivery related items from M:. Future plans include adding a Community Education directory and a Brief / Pleading Bank.

22 Teams and Projects This tab provides room for team pages for various departments and projects. These will allow more efficient collaboration between team members.

23 Check Your Alerts You can change your e-mail subscription alerts using the menu in the upper-right corner. Select My Settings Then click the Manage Alerts button. You can receive alerts immediately, daily or weekly.

24 The Future This is only the beginning for Legal Aid Connect. It gives us the platform to create more applications to make our lives easier at Legal Aid. If you have any suggestions for what you’d like to see, make sure to use the Suggestion Box on the home page.
