Governments, military, corporations, financial institutions, hospitals and other businesses collect, process and store a great deal of confidential information on computers and transmit that data across networks to other computers. With the growing volume and sophistication of cyber attacks, on-going attention is required to protect sensitive business and personal information, as well as safeguard national security.

Cybercrime, also called computer crime, the use of a computer as an instrument to further illegal ends, such as committing fraud, trafficking in child pornography and intellectual property, stealing identities, or violating privacy. Cybercrime, especially through the Internet, has grown in importance as the computer has become central to commerce, entertainment, and government.

The first cyber crime recorded was in the year 1820. The first email spam recorded was in the year 1978. The first Virus was installed on an Apple Computer in 1982. TIPS FOR CYBER SECURITY Practice good password management. Never leave your devices unattended. Always be careful when clicking on attachments or links in email. Back up your data regularly, and make sure your antivirus software is always up to date

If we don’t care about cyber security, we will suffer from Cyber Crime. Cyber Crime is a criminal activity which is performed on Internet. Cyber crime – where computer is either a tool or target or both.
