Cleaning Gloves By: Kelly 5C

Problem Usually it takes more time for my nanny to clean the windows because she needs to spray with one hand and then take the napkin with the other hand and wipe it.

Purpose Making my invention can really help my nanny to clean faster and easier.

What I already know There are many types of gloves. Napkin can wipe things.

Finding Information Napkin A napkin or face towel is a rectangle cloth usually used in the restaurant for wiping mouth and fingers. It can also be used to clean windows. The word napkin comes from Middle English, borrowing the word French nappe a cloth and adding kin the diminutive suffix. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napkin

Gloves Disposable Gloves. Disposable gloves, usually made of light-weight plastic, can help guard against mild irritants. Fabric Gloves. Made of cotton or fabric blends are generally used to improve grip when handling slippery objects. They also help insulate hands from mild heat or cold. Leather Gloves. These gloves are used to guard against injuries from sparks or scraping against rough surfaces. They are also used in combination with an insulated liner when working with electricity. Metal Mesh Gloves. These gloves are used to protect hands form accidental cuts and scratches. They are used most commonly by persons working with cutting tools or other sharp instruments. Aluminized Gloves. Gloves made of aluminized fabric are designed to insulate hands from intense heat. These gloves are most commonly used by persons working molten materials.

Chemical Resistance Gloves. These gloves may be made of rubber, neoprene, polyvinyl alcohol or vinyl, etc. The gloves protect hands from corrosives, oils, and solvents. The following table is provided as a guide to the different types of glove materials and the chemicals they can be used against. When selecting chemical resistance gloves, be sure to consult the manufacturers’ recommendations, especially if the gloved hand will be immersed in the chemical.

Survey Friends PlusMinus Easier for people to clean the glass or window It’s hard for the people to spray Easier to clean thingsHard to use

Hypothesis Observation It takes more time for my nanny to clean the window. Inference The napkin gets dry very fast

Hypothesis So I’m going to help my nanny by attaching the napkin into the gloves and also the spray together in one hand.

Materials Needed -Gloves -Napkin -Spray -Velcro -Needle -Thread -Plastic bottle

Procedure 1.Prepare the gloves, napkin, spray, velcro, threat and needle

2. Cut the velcro based on the width of gloves.

3. Sew the velcro on the front of the palm of the gloves

4. Cut the other side of the velcro and sew it in the palm of the hand shaped napkin

5. Try to paste the hand shaped napkin in the gloves

6. Put the spray in the back palm using the pants rubber

Result & Analysis The result is that the cleaning gloves can help my nanny to clean faster and easier.

Conclusion My invention works well. my nanny can use it when wiping the window. In the future I need to modify it so the bottle spray is automatically spay its liquid to the windows once we fold our fingers rather than we use another hand to press the spray.
