13. African Americans in the South Urban workers found their jobs taken by white people the collapse of farm prices crushed African American farmers.

14. John Collier Head of the Bureau of Indian Affairs Introduced a set of reforms known as the Indian New Deal.

15. Mexican Immigrants Politicians and labor unions demanded that they be forced to leave. The government offered one-way train tickets to Mexico. Eventually, though, many Mexicans were gathered and shipped to Mexico.

16. Extreme Political Views Communists and socialists viewed the Great Depression as the death of a failed system. Communism promised the end of economic and racial unfairness.

17. Fascism Fascism promoted that nations come before the individual and a dictator should run the government.
