United States Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service 11 FUTURE FSIS DIRECTION Need to better predict what is going in order to get answers sooner Want to PREVENT rather than REACT Adapt sampling algorithm to address emerging trends or identified “Hot Spots” Better use of PHV training in the field

What data could we use to drive predictive analytics? What information do we have, but do not use? What do we not have that industry might share with FSIS?
