Creates goals for you to work on to increase your skills Lists what the school will provide to help you Helps you think about your future goals & careers Meeting held once a year Requires your participation and input Your teacher’s receive a copy at the beginning of the year, and after each meeting

Accommodations & Modifications What you can use in your general education classes to help you succeed Resource room classes provide accommodations to help you At your meeting-share what accommodations you need to help you be successful in your classes Advocate and use your accommodations daily

Accommodations & Modifications Examples of accommodations/modifications: Use calculator on all assignments, tests, & quizzes Extra time on tests/assignments Go to Resource room to take a test or for help Copies of notes Retake tests

Let’s look at your IEP Look at your accommodations/modifications page from your current IEP Read each accommodation, when you can use it, and where Example: 1) Provide student copy of notes Daily while taking notes General education
