2. Challenges Communities on North Efate have economic opportunities (market), easy transport (new road), so aren’t around as much. Communities on North Efate are often recipients of programs and activities because of proximity to Port Vila, so it isn’t as new and exciting.

Peace Corps Involvement Started in 2009 with Obed coming to introduce SS at Pre Service Training Obed and Jayleen came to talk with CH PCVs at training in Feb Identified Epi as a potential island (relatively short flight from Vila, three CH Volunteers on the ground) PCVs liaised with their communities Obed went to Epi to meet with communities PCVL (Volunteer leader) worked with Obed to liaise with Epi Volunteers
