*Topaz The value of a topaz gemstone is affected by how well it is cut. A perfect cut means that the topaz gives the maximum amount of sparkle. The quality of the cut can make a huge difference in the price of the topaz. * It comes from Brazil, Madagascar, Usa, Mexico and Ceylon Topaz

Citrine Citrine, like most gemstones is most valuable when its color is intense and beautiful. The stronger a citrine's color, the more valuable it is. In addition to this, certain colors of citrine are rarer than others. The rarer the color, the more valuable the citrine gemstone. In citrine, the most comon and least valuable color is pale yellow and the rarest and most valuable is a deep dark orange.

Diamond The reason that diamonds are special in the gem world is that they are the most durable. They are the hardest natural substance in the world (10 on Moh’s Hardness scale). This means that almost nothing can scratch a diamond (except another diamond). This does not mean, however, that they are invulnerable. Diamonds have cleavage planes, like most minerals, so that if dropped or hit at a particular angle, they will crack or shatter. Therefore, it is important that a diamond is faceted and set in a way that protects its vulnerable areas. It is formed in volcanic craters and dispersed by volcanic eruption or flooding.
