5. Overgeneralization and bigotry also lead to the Holocaust  Mass genocide of Jewish peoples in Europe ■The Nazis (Lead by Adolf Hitler) falsely considered the Jews to be a race. They incorrectly believed Jews had a natural impulse to strive for world domination, and that this goal would not only prevent German dominance but would also enslave and destroy the German “race.” ■Many Jewish peoples in Germany were very successful in business while the general population was suffering greatly from an economic recession caused by WW1… adding to this world domination fear. ■Overgeneralizations were made about Jewish people and their business practices, also negative overgeneralizations were made about the Jewish religion. ■This lead to the internment and ultimately the genocide of over 6 million Jews in Europe.
