1 Who Makes The RE-IMAGINE Project A Success? Task Force Leader- ship Team A group of lay and professional leaders who are passionate about the future of Jewish education for your congregation’s children and families. This dedicated group will serve on The RE-IMAGINE Task Force, which is led by The RE-IMAGINE Leadership Team (a subset of the task force). ECE will provide guidance and support as you establish these two essential working groups. The RE-IMAGINE Leadership Team:  Generates the momentum and ruach for the project  5-7 members responsible to plan and track tasks, meetings and progress  18-month commitment, beginning with 4 orientation sessions and followed by:  1-2 leadership team meetings monthly,  1-2 task force meetings monthly,  Regular home reading,  Participation in on-line study and discussions, and  Participation in 2-3 gatherings of congregations in the pilot  Lead members participate in 4 intensive learning sessions The RE-IMAGINE Task Force:  Does the work of the re- imagining and planning  12-25 members working with the Leadership Team  12 month commitment, including:  Meeting once or twice a month,  Regular home reading, online study, and discussions,  Participating in 2-3 gatherings with other pilot congregations

Leader- ship Team The Leadership Team includes: Chairperson(s): The lead voice and planner of the project Public face of the project-experience in educational arena of the congregation Leads the team in strategizing-proven ability to get things done A Coordinator: The lead organizer and administrator Responsible for moving the process forward-proven attention to detail and progress Synthesizes and presents gleanings from meetings and online conversations (facile w/technology) Requires about 10 a hours a week (depending on size of the congregation and task force) A rabbi and an educator: The professional leadership Critical members of the Leadership Team and Task Force Contribute substantive expertise and symbolic support to the project Explore new ways of collaborating about significant decisions One to three additional lay leaders: Bringing complementary skills to leadership team Representing key constituencies Proven experience thinking and acting as part of a team

Task Force The RE-IMAGINE Task Force includes: All members of the Leadership Team Six or more lay-people: current and potential leaders of congregation Committed to re-imagining congregational school Represent a variety of constituents in the school and the congregation Religious School/Hebrew School Teacher(s) Respected faculty members who: Have demonstrated commitment to synagogue, Are well-connected with other teachers, Embrace creative approaches to Jewish education
