Newton’s 2 nd law –A force acting on an object will cause that object to accelerate in the direction of the force. 6 Review Plate Tectonics –The crust of the earth is broken up into several pieces called plates (7 major) Boundary types –Divergent New crust forms –Convergent Mountain building and subduction zones – earthquakes volcanos –Transform Fault Source of earthquakes
