3 What do we know about bar charts already?

4 We know a bar chart should: have a title. have numbered and labelled axis. have clear bars showing how much of something has been observed/recorded. be numbered with sensible intervals. answer questions about the data.

5 Horizontal axis (x). Always labelled. Vertical axis (y). Always labelled and numbered. A bar chart always has a title. The height of the bars show how many of something was scored/recorded. It might also have a ‘legend’. This shows what the colour of each bar represents.
