ECAP: 4-Year Plan
2
Why are we doing a 4 year plan? To make a personalized plan to maximize your time here at Desert Vista To set goals that will give you direction for your high school experience To choose classes that appeal to you according to your interests
3
How to Choose Courses Good Reasons to take classes Build necessary skills to be successful Possibly earn college credit in your field of interest So you don’t waste time in high school – you learn about your field of interests
4
Bad reasons to pick a class My friends are taking this class I heard the teacher was easy To raise my GPA/Class Rank
5
Take out your 4-year plan sheet
6
Filling Out the Four-Year Plan There will only be six rows filled out for each year unless you are taking a zero or eighth hour. Make sure you have included all the required courses (they are shaded) for each year. Some required courses can be placed in other years; if you choose not to take a class in the suggested year (i.e. Health), you will have to include it in another year. Use the Credit Check sheet provided to make sure you are fulfilling all the requirements for graduation and future goals.
7
