4. Pennsylvania William Penn was owed $ by the King, instead gives him piece of land as big as England Penn was a Quaker- believed people were equal, inner light, pacifists, church services unnecessary, treat NA’s fairly Philadelphia founded, Penn advertises for settlers

5. Delaware Originally part of NJ, then given to Penn cause didn’t have coastline People living there didn’t want to be part of Penn, broke away and became one colony
