1. Warm-Up Sit silently in your assigned seat and wait for directions (remember your entering the classroom CHAMPS)!

2. Topic What the story is about written in one or two words.

3. Theme The message of the story written in a sentence.

4. Activity Read each of the three passages taped to your table. Then, open your Ziploc bag and place each topic and theme statement with the story they belong with. When you finish pairing them, write the answers to the questions on your handout.

5. Pre-AP Grab your project off of the front bookshelf and wait for instruction.
