2. John Teaches Jesus the Living Water John 4:1-42

3. For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me,
the fountain of living waters,
and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water. Jeremiah 2:13 

4. As a deer pants for flowing streams,
so pants my soul for you, O God.
My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God. Psalm 42:1 

5. “Come, everyone who thirsts,
come to the waters; and he who has no money,
come, buy and eat! …
Incline your ear, and come to me;
hear, that your soul may live”
Isaiah 55:1, 3

6. For I will pour water on the thirsty land,
With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. Isaiah 12:3 
For I will pour water on the thirsty land,
and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring,
and my blessing on your descendants. Isaiah 44:3 

7. On that day living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem. Zechariah 14:8 

8. Jesus said to them, …“whoever believes in me shall never thirst
 Jesus said to them, …“whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” John 6:35 “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.  Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ ” John 7:37 -38

9. “For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:17

10. Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. Revelation 22:1

11.  but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:31

12.   So the woman left her water jar and went away into town and said to the people,  “Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?” John 4:28-29

  Just then his disciples came back. They marveled that he was talking with a woman, but no one said, “What do you seek?” or, “Why are you talking with her?” John 4:27
