6 Thematic essay blueprint #1 Theme- Political System : Several empires and nations throughout history have been ruled by strong leaders who have policies of absolutism. Examples: Louis XIV of France, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini (you are not limited to these) Task: Define the term absolutism and identify characteristics Select a nation or empire you have studied and identify the specific characteristics of the absolute government there. Task: Define the term civilization Describe 3 examples of intellectual achievements made by past civilizations. Identify what civilization each belongs to. Ex: Russia, Germany, Italy, China Task: Select two nations from history For each nation: Name the group/ political party and its leader Describe the changes the party brought to society Analyze 1 reason why the group was or was not successful in bringing change Theme-Change: Throughout history, changes of government in a nation have frequently occurred.
