4
Will you refuse His help or will you seek it?
5
Will you depend on yourself for the strength you need, or will you depend on Him?
6

7
The other leads to hope, comfort, peace, strength and joy.
8
III. HOW TO OVERCOME DISAPPOINTMENT WITH GOD.
9
Lamentations 3:19-24: “I remember my affliction and my wandering, the
10
bitterness and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.
11
Yet this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are
12
not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your
13
faithfulness. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.’”
14
1. Remember God’s love for you.
15
2. Remember God’s faithfulness to you even if you are unfaithful.
16
2 Corinthians 4:8-9: “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
17
persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”
18
2 Corinthians 4:1: “Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.”
19
3. Rebuild your altar of worship and praise God in spite of your circumstances.
20
4. Dream again, but make sure you are dreaming the dream of God for your life!
21
5. Run to Jesus.
22
1 Peter 2:6-“For in Scripture it says: ‘See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.’”
23
“One can learn about sailing in the classroom, but it takes rough seas to make a great sailor.”
