19. Extended school year The need for ESY must be indicated on the IEP. If it is determined that ESY is needed AFTER an IEP has been held, an amendment may be written. On-going data collection must be completed and documented on the appropriate form in October, February and April. The ESY form in MI Star must be attached to the IEP or amendment.
