Pros and Cons Pros Networking and meeting new people who are in the same year Vicinity to school, can always get to class on time Facilities that offer laundry, food, computer labs and study lounges Internet availability, such as wireless Activities planned by residential assistants (RA)

Cons Expensive: Money is always a factor Roommate conflict is a possibility Sharing a room, however there are opportunities for a single bed room Noise like this guy

Dorm Restaurants Spinelli, A & I, Lothian Dining Hall, The Barn, Commons They are buffet style offering food at designated times Food isn’t always the best tasting Different menus everyday Multiple options to choose from Desserts are generally tasty unfortunately

Beware Freshmen 15 Very possible: Freshman 40… or 80… or… yeah. Stress, lame schedules, Mom and Dad factor, etc. How to avoid it: Use dining options wisely Take a trip to the salad bar Eat whole grain foods and incorporate vegetable sides Avoid soda, water is your best friend Eat proper portioned meals Make your own food
