3 In this course we will think about the science of plant ecology. What are the kinds of questions that plant ecologists ask, and how do they ask them? This is a nice formulation of the scientific method. The real action in the science of plant ecology is often these returning arrows. Grinding through alternative hypotheses…and, basic re- evaluation of theory And, once you find an answer… it needs to be vetted and verified…
