Kevin reads two books every week. Joanna reads seven books a month. Carlo reads 113 books a year. Jenny reads ¼ of a book each day. How many books does Kevin read in one month? How many books does Carlo read in three years? How long will it take Jenny to read 3 books? Who will read more books in two months, Joanna or Kevin?

What is RATE? Many ratios are known as rates. A RATE is a comparison of two quantities with DIFFERENT units of measure. –Example: 15,400 feet/ 5 minutes

How can you tell if the rates are equivalent????? Use cross products to check the numbers The labels can NOT be the same diagonally! Example: 30 Songs 7 Songs 15 minutes3.5 minutes
