1. Past Future Living the Cross ^ Present ^ Self-Realization The cross is shaped for success. You cannot live in the regret of the past. You cannot determine the outcome of the future. You can only reach the self- awareness that the cross brings by traveling up the middle road—dying to self on a daily basis—today, then one day at a time. I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. 2. Future Past Head Spirit ^ Heart Soul ^ Flesh Child – I think as a child, I act as a child. I want what I want and I want it now. I blame others for my failures. I give to get. I demand attention. The focus is on me. Adult – I am starting to understand responsibility. I understand that I reap what I sow. I know and can give unconditional love. I still spend time in the flesh and let my emotions drive my decisions. Servant Leader – I live my life to serve God and others. I am humble, non- threatening, and others-focused. I have boldness in my God-given mission. I live with little regret and focus on life-giving encouragement. 3. Spirit of God ^v Word of God ^v Flesh For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Col 1:19-20
